What and interesting take. I agree with you that for the most part we are best to ignore the noise and focus on what is essential. Yet, what is essential?

If we ask your squirrels or any other living being for that matter they will answer as your dandelion did what is essential is the continuation of life. To me this continuation of life forms the universal purpose of life. For us humans this purpose manifests itself through a focus on the welfare of our families and of our communities as described in Codist Philosophy.

Once we incorporate this purpose as the lodestar of our lives all this noise you describe fades into the background.
